Fault or Characteristics Frequencies
There are two types of Frequencies defined in VibCloud:
Bearing Fault Frequencies and
Gearbox Characteristics Frequencies
They can be accessed from the home screen by clicking “Fault Frequencies” from the “Administration” section.
Please note that module for defining Fault Frequencies has limited access only for users with Client Administrator role.
Creating new Bearing Fault Frequencies
Open “Fault Frequencies” module, explained above in this document;
Select “Bearing Fault Frequencies” tab
Click on the “Create new Fault Frequencies” button on the right side of the screen and new modal window pops up outlining fault frequencies form;
Fill form fields:
Insert Code which will be used for searching specific fault frequencies;
Fault Frequencies (FTF, BSF, BPFO, BPFI)
Click on “Save Changes” button
Functionalities of Bearing Fault Frequencies
Each fault frequency can be:
Searched by code;
Functionalities in the list:
Edit – Amend existing ones;
Delete – Remove fault frequencies.
Creating new Gearbox Characteristics Frequencies
Open “Fault Frequencies” module, explained above in this document;
Select “Gearbox Fault Frequencies” tab
Click on the “Create new Characteristic Frequencies” button on the right side of the screen and new modal window pops up outlining characteristics frequencies form;
Insert Code which will be used for searching specific characteristic frequencies;
Insert number of gears in the gearbox
Click on “Create” button.
Based on inserted number of gears, an empty table will appear with fields for inserting number of teeth per gear. All fields must be filled
Click on “Calculate” button
Based on inserted values for number of teeth per gear, application will calculate characteristic frequency and display them in table
Click on “Save Changes” button
Functionalities of Gearbox Characteristic Frequencies
Each characteristic frequency can be:
Search fault frequencies by code;
Functionalities in the list:
Edit – Amend existing ones;
Delete – Remove characteristic frequencies.
Note: deleting fault frequencies will result in removing link with vibration parameters.
For usage of both types of fault frequencies, please check Analysis page - section Additional Analysis Features - Fault Frequencies.
